Who Is Surgence? The Crypto Marketing Agency Scaling Web3 Growth From Launch to Market Leadership

• Surgence Labs is a Web3 GTM partner and crypto marketing agency founded in 2022 in Dubai, with 40+ specialists across four time zones.
• The company operates as an embedded growth function (inside your Slack and on your calls), not a traditional arms-length agency.
• Verified results include $300M+ client revenue, $5B+ TVL captured, 10M+ followers grown, and 200+ campaigns across 200+ ecosystems.
• Core services span KOL distribution (2,000+ vetted network), token launch execution, community engineering, GTM strategy, and performance analytics.
• Surgence works across nine verticals (DeFi, L1/L2, infrastructure, gaming, AI agents, neobanks, wallets, trading, prediction markets), and we are transparent about who we are and aren’t a fit for.

Surgence Labs is a crypto marketing agency founded in 2022. Headquartered in Dubai with a distributed team operating across four time zones, Surgence works as an embedded growth function for blockchain projects across DeFi, infrastructure, Layer 1s, Layer 2s, gaming, AI agent platforms, and consumer crypto.

That word “embedded” matters. Surgence doesn’t hand off a PDF strategy and disappear. We join your Slack, sit on your calls, and operate inside your team’s workflow. We also own the full GTM stack from narrative development to on-chain conversion tracking.

The numbers back this up: 100+ Web3 teams supported, $300M+ in client revenue generated, $5B+ in total value locked captured, 10M+ social followers grown, and 200+ campaigns executed across more than 200 ecosystems. Clients include DWF Labs, Falcon Finance, Immutable, ORBT, and QORPO World.

Surgence was co-founded by Julian Stafford and Vinh Nguyen (known in the Web3 space as Esteemed). The thesis they built the company on was straightforward: crypto projects don’t fail at marketing because they lack budget. They fail because strategy, execution, and distribution get fragmented across disconnected vendors.

One agency handles content. Another runs KOL campaigns. A third manages the community. Nobody owns the full picture, and the result is wasted spend and inconsistent messaging. Surgence was built to consolidate that entire function into a single growth partner that takes ownership from narrative all the way through to on-chain conversion.

From a two-person founding team in 2022, the company has grown to 40+ specialists deployed across four time zones by 2026. The team includes dedicated heads of growth, KOL management, marketing, community, and operations, all running in parallel for each client engagement.

If you’ve searched “surgence meaning” or “is surgence a word,” you’re not alone.

The name draws from “surge,” a powerful forward-moving force. In the context of Web3, it represents exactly what we deliver to our clients: growth that compounds over time rather than spiking and then dropping off.

Surgence operates as a full-stack Web3 GTM partner. That means we don’t offer a menu of isolated services you pick from. Instead, we run an integrated growth engine that connects strategy architecture, creator and KOL distribution, narrative positioning, community engineering, token launch execution, and performance analytics into one system.

Every engagement runs through this engine. The specific tactics change depending on the vertical (DeFi vs. gaming vs. infrastructure), but the system stays the same. Here’s what each piece looks like in practice.

Surgence maintains a vetted network of 2,000+ crypto KOLs spanning Twitter, YouTube, Telegram, and TikTok. The key word there is “vetted.” We don’t blast partnerships to anyone with a follower count. KOLs are matched based on audience alignment, niche relevance, engagement quality, and on-chain activity.

Campaigns use multi-wave creator activations. Think of it as a phased rollout: seed narrative with a small group of credible voices, expand to mid-tier KOLs for social proof, then go wide for launch momentum. Each wave builds on the previous one.

This covers the full lifecycle: pre-TGE hype building, KOL distribution coordination, exchange listing support, and post-launch momentum sustaining. Surgence has supported token launches that resulted in $1B+ FDV outcomes for clients.

The technical side goes deeper than most agencies. Token-specific mechanics include referral sequences, on-chain quest integrations, anti-sybil funnels to protect launch integrity, and emissions-driven engagement loops designed to sustain activity past day one.

Building a Discord or Telegram with high numbers is the easy part. Keeping those members active and converting them into protocol users is where most projects struggle. Surgence designs community structures with ritual flows, gamified quests, reward systems, and lifecycle engagement loops.

The goal is retention, not vanity. A 300,000+ community that generates daily active engagement (like the one Surgence built for ETHGas) is worth more than a million inactive wallets.

Before any campaign launches, Surgence builds the strategic foundation: competitive analysis, positioning, narrative frameworks, and channel planning. This is done by Web3-native strategists, not generalist marketers adapting playbooks from SaaS or e-commerce.

On the content and distribution side, that includes viral Twitter strategy, meme creation, educational threads, and multi-platform syndication. And for projects with budget for paid channels, Surgence runs campaigns across blockchain ad networks with full attribution modeling and ROI optimization.

Here’s where Surgence breaks from the typical agency model. Traditional agencies deliver campaigns and reports from the outside. Surgence deploys roughly 10 specialists directly into each client’s team from day one. They’re in your Slack channels, on your weekly calls, and actively driving strategy alongside your internal team.

Success metrics are set around outcomes that actually matter in crypto: TVL growth, wallet activity, trading volume, community participation, and Kaito mindshare. Vanity numbers like raw impressions don’t make the final report unless they connect to something downstream.

The execution cadence is fast. Onboarding starts within 48 hours. Initial campaign execution (community, content, KOL activations) kicks off within two weeks. Major compounding results typically show up in the four to eight-week window as the system matures.

Surgence operates across nine verticals: DeFi protocols, blockchain infrastructure, Web3 gaming, crypto neobanks, Layer 1 and Layer 2 chains, AI and agent platforms, wallets and identity, trading platforms and exchanges, and prediction markets. Each vertical has its own dedicated GTM playbook built from real campaign data.

The ideal Surgence client cares about long-term adoption over short-term spikes, has a real product with real constraints (usually live or close to launch), treats growth as a system rather than a series of disconnected campaigns, and values accountability with clear communication.

Who’s not a fit? Teams looking for short-term hype cycles, pay-to-shill arrangements, guaranteed token price outcomes, or anyone unwilling to measure what’s working and iterate based on data.

Talk is cheap in crypto marketing. Every agency claims to deliver results. What sets Surgence apart is the specificity and verifiability of its case study data. Here are the highlights.

Fast Protocol was launching an MEV/RPC infrastructure network from zero brand presence. No community, no followers, no brand recognition. Surgence deployed narrative-aligned KOLs to seed the “fast infrastructure” story and coordinated with a Genesis SBT mint for social amplification.

Results: 0 to 65,000 X followers in under 30 days, 90,000 Discord members, $25M+ RPC volume.

Falcon Finance needed to launch a synthetic stablecoin protocol and achieve category-defining presence. Surgence ran a full embedded GTM campaign targeting DeFi audiences through KOL credibility activation and multi-channel distribution.

Results: 10M+ impressions, #1 Kaito mindshare.

ORBT Protocol needed top-of-funnel growth for a unified liquidity layer, but had no existing user base. Surgence co-built the EVM DeFi Score, a wallet-based capital scorer that turned on-chain history into a shareable personal achievement. KOLs promoted it as a status flex, not a protocol feature.

Results: 200,000+ net new followers, 70,000+ DeFi Score cards shared, 20M+ impressions, $12B+ in community swap volume.

• StandX: $200M+ peak TVL and $2.038B+ cumulative perps trading volume
• Incentiv: 1.5M+ testnet users and 300K+ social growth from pre-registration to mainnet launch
• Mawari: $6M in DePIN node sales and 500K badge claims
• QORPO World: Scaled to $1B+ FDV through full Web3 GTM execution
• Gomble Games: 2M+ NFT trade volume with an instant sell-out

There are hundreds of companies calling themselves crypto marketing agencies. Here’s what actually differentiates Surgence when you look past the pitch decks.

Most agencies operate at arm’s length. They build a strategy, run campaigns in their own silo, send you a monthly report, and measure success by impressions. Surgence operates as an extension of your team. We are in your day-to-day workflow, connecting narrative, distribution, community, and performance into one GTM system.

The practical difference? When your strategy needs to pivot because the market shifted overnight, you don’t need to schedule a call with your agency next week. The Surgence team is already in your comm channels and adjusting.

One-off campaigns produce one-off results. A KOL tweet gets engagement on day one and disappears by day three. Surgence builds systems where every channel feeds the next. KOL activations drive community signups, community engagement produces social proof, social proof attracts more KOLs, and the cycle compounds.

This is why Surgence clients tend to see compounding growth curves rather than spike-and-drop patterns. The system keeps producing after the initial launch window closes.

Surgence measures success by TVL, wallet growth, trading volume, community participation, and Kaito mindshare. Not impressions alone, not follower counts in isolation. Every metric connects to an actual on-chain or business outcome.

We also run full performance analytics: CAC-to-LTV tracking, funnel drop-off analysis, cohort activation metrics, and on-chain conversion attribution. For teams evaluating whether to engage, Surgence offers a free marketing strategy report as part of their selection process. You see their methodology before any commitment.

Julian Stafford and Vinh Nguyen (known in Web3 as Esteemed) co-founded Surgence Labs. They built the company around the idea that crypto marketing fails when strategy, execution, and distribution are split across disconnected vendors instead of running as one system.

The name draws from “surge,” representing forward momentum and compounding growth. It is not related to “surgency,” a personality trait in psychology. In the crypto space, Surgence refers specifically to Surgence Labs at surgence.io.
