Surgence Labs Named Community Partner for OKX Dev Day 2026

OKX Dev Day 2026 runs under the theme “Build a Market. Build a Company.” Teams build across two tracks: X Layer, covering tokenized stocks and real-world assets, and OKX AI, covering agent services and AI-native businesses. Up to US$100,000 is allocated across winning teams.

Applications close on 15 September 2026, following an extension. Selected teams present a working prototype, a GitHub repository, and a three-to-five-minute presentation at the finale.

Key dates

X Layer is an Ethereum Layer 2 network launched by OKX. Its mainnet went live on 30 March 2024 and it uses OKB as its gas token. The network moved from a Polygon zkEVM validium architecture to the OP Stack on 27 October 2025.

Program partners include AWS, Morningstar, Paxos, MoonPay, Centrifuge, xStocks, Plug and Play, Maximum Frequency Ventures, and Liminal. Surgence Labs joins Claude Code Singapore and EasyA as community partners.

Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Dubai, Surgence Labs is a Web3 growth agency with offices in New York, Australia, South Korea, and Singapore. Surgence Labs in numbers

The Dev Day finale falls on 6 October, the day before TOKEN2049 Singapore opens at Marina Bay Sands and inside TOKEN2049 Week, which runs from 5 to 11 October alongside more than 1,000 side events. Surgence Labs is also the performance marketing partner to BOB Group Limited for the 2026 Singapore edition of TOKEN2049.

That puts one agency on both sides of the same week: the conference that assembles the audience, and the hackathon that converts part of it into builders. Those two jobs usually sit with separate teams against separate metrics, so the handoff goes unmeasured. Run together, two things become countable: whether Dev Day applicants arrived through TOKEN2049 channels, and whether finalists deploy on X Layer and OKX AI after the week ends.

Applications close 15 September 2026 at 23:59 UTC. The online build runs 17 to 25 September, and the live finale is held in Singapore on 6 October 2026 from 10:00 to 14:00 SGT.
